Have you seen our new smart LED floor lamp, the VELLSD1? With it, you’re not just switching on a light – you’re also supporting your healthy circadian rhythm.
The lamp features an automatic biodynamic light cycle. Together with the built-in daylight sensor, it adapts to the natural daily cycle of sunlight.
This allows our bodies to release the right hormones at the right time. The colour temperature is perceived by our eyes.
When warm light hits the retina, our brain releases melatonin into the bloodstream – a hormone that helps us wind down. Blue light, on the other hand, releases cortisol. It wakes us up and gives us energy.
With this lamp, it’s not just a warm cup of coffee but also the warm light that helps us start the day feeling relaxed. As the day progresses, the light colour shifts towards the bluish spectrum. This makes us particularly productive. The later it gets, the warmer the light tone becomes again. The perfect transition into a cosy evening.
A colour temperature control allows the light colour to be adjusted manually and continuously from 3000 to 6000 K.

The lamp also features a proximity and presence sensor. This means the floor lamp only switches on when someone is at their workstation or approaching it. This ensures no electricity is wasted when no one is there (< 0.5 W on standby). Even slight movements are detected by the sensor, with a maximum power consumption of 80 W.

The LED lamp boasts a CRI rating of over 80. This figure reflects how accurately colours are rendered under artificial lighting compared to daylight. The CRI ranges from 0 to 100, with 100 indicating perfect colour rendering.
The floor lamp, fitted with a 3-metre power cable, is available in white or graphite and measures 85.2 x 201.1 x 62 cm (WxHxD). Delivered flat-packed for convenience, the product is easy to assemble.
