Sustainability Report 2023
Sustainable business practices, environmental protection and the development of our employees are deeply rooted in our corporate philosophy. With our annual sustainability report, we want to make our ecological and social commitment transparent for our customers, suppliers, employees and stakeholders.
In addition to the areas of production, personnel, social commitment, the environment and the key performance indicators, the Sustainability Report 2023 also includes a look at target fulfilment in 2023 and our goals for 2024. 2024 will certainly focus on the construction of our new logistics centre, which is designed to consume as little energy as possible and to be heated with a water heat pump rather than oil, gas or biomass in a climate-friendly way.
A central component of the report is the documentation of emissions from Hammerbacher GmbH in Neumarkt/OPf., Germany, where logistics and administration take place, as well as Hammerbacher SK a.s. in Pukanec, Slovakia, where the majority of our furniture production is located. The flow of goods between the production site and the logistics centre and from there to the end customer was also taken into account. We also focus on our reforestation project in Uganda, which serves to offset the CO₂ equivalent.
